Telecheck Banks
TeleCheck SystemTeleCheck helps merchants reduce the risk of accepting bad checks. Over 342,000 merchants use the TeleCheck system. Merchants reduce their risk by accepting checks from customers about whom the TeleCheck system has positive information (or at least no negative information). If you are a consumer whose check was declined by a TeleCheck merchant you can improve your chances of having your check accepted in the future. Every transaction that is declined by a TeleCheck merchant is given a "record number". The merchant should provide you with a courtesy card with this seven-digit record number. You can help TeleCheck create a positive file about you. Provide the record number, your drivers license number, the banking numbers printed on your check, and your Social Security number to TeleCheck International. Contact TeleCheck at 1-800-366-2425 for further details. Trouble with TeleCheck?
